La Revolucion features superb singing of the songs and corridos written during and about the Mexican Revolution of 1910, such as "La Adelita," "La Cucaracha," "La Golondrina," "La Valentina," "Cielito Lindo" and others. There are elaborate dances in this production that too are from this era. The costumes are exciting and historically accurate. La Revolucion is a tragedy with a love story running throughout the story. The playwright spent years writing La Revolucion and many of the scenes are taken straight from the history books; even the characters' lines-such as Zapata's cry of, 'Land and Liberty!'
