Richard Foreman's new play, King Cowboy Rufus Rules the Universe, evokes a nightmare world in which an imitation George Bush--a wild bull in the world's china shop--finds himself attacked by bears, babies and statues of the dead. Turning away from romance, he lunges toward the eroticized terror of an unknowable future.

Richard Foreman, multi-award winning playwright/director doesn't make conventional plays. He stages intricately layered, provocative rituals which combine dance, opera, drama, absurdity, rock and sex and take audiences on a wild ride through the psyche. Foreman's pieces twitch convulsively with eternal themes that echo within a multitude of bizarre circumstances.
