dixon place presents a workshop production of Destiny (part 3 of serve and protect), by Keli Garrett. Bananas are contraband. Son, Nehemiah is captured and labeled a terrorist; he isn't, but he was caught with a banana. Can Black Momma set him free, or must she stay put and care for someone else's child? Meanwhile, the Mayor, the Attorney General, the President, and the National Security Adviser are in town to promote Lite Law. A federal agent throws a man off a building and the Chorus keeps asking for the score of the war... Destiny is written by Keli Garrett, directed by Dominic Taylor, and performed by Allison Eikeren, Dion Graham, James Lurie, Olivia Oguma, John Rankin, Kelly Taffe and Ed Vassallo. Appropriate for audiences 15+.
