WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Stage and screen favorite Julia Sweeney returns to New York in a special limited engagement of Julia Sweeney: In the Family Way at the Ars Nova Theater. Written and performed by Sweeney and directed by Mark Brokaw, the show begins with Julia at a crossroads in her life, taking stock and struck with the realization: 'Oh my God, I forgot to have a family!' She's in her late 30s, professional ambitions fulfilled, yet single and without children. This latest work follows her odyssey as she adopts a child, becomes the mother of a toddler overnight and faces the challenges of dating as a single mom. The show begs the question: Can today's modern woman really have it all?
