WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
When summoned to perform for the Pope in Rome, bad actor and priest-in-training Carlo seems blessed. But, trapped between an imagined saint and the very real trial of a dead former Pope, Carlo soon plays a role in one of the most grotesque and surreal spectacles in history: Stephen IV's infamous Cadaver Synod.
