WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Dreamscape Theatre presents the world premiere of Ricardo Perez Gonzales' In Fields Where They Lay, about the famed Christmas Truce of World War I, at the Hudson Guild Theatre, developed and directed by Brad Raimondo. The play is a portrait of a squad of front-line British soldiers who, with their German counterparts, shook hands, shared cigarettes and sang Christmas carols together in the brief, precious interruption in fighting that occurred on December 24 and 25, 1914. The piece was developed from diaries, letters and newspaper accounts of the time.
