WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Beth Henley's outrageous comedy, Impossible Marriage, takes place in Kandall Kingsley's beautiful and mysterious garden. Her youngest daughter, Pandora, plans to marry Edvard Lunt, a worldly artist twice her age, but certain people don't think the match to be suitable. Floral, Pandora's older sister, who is expecting a child at any moment, plots to break off the marriage. Unexpectedly, Sidney Lunt, the groom's son, arrives with a note from his mother in which she vows to throw herself from an attic window if the marriage goes forward. Even Reverend Larence who has come to wed the couple has secret hopes and desperate desires. Throughout this hilarious and moving play the characters struggle with allegiance between their duties and desires. Deana Morenoff directs. The cast features Wendi Black (Theater: Get Duranged with The Barrow Group; Film: The Valise), Paul Firestone*, Oona Flaherty (Theater: Get Duranged), Armand Gabriel, Andrew Lincoln*, Neil Potter, and Barbara J. Spence* (Theater: Founding member of 78th Street Theater Lab; Film: Earthly Possessions directed by James Lapine).
