WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In Ice Queens: The Faggot War, queer performance artist Michael Burke continues his obsession with forgotten history through a performative exploration of the "Battle of the Brians" from the 1988 Winter Olympics.
While many dismiss this as mere homo rivalry between figure skaters, Burke will prove that the influence of Brian Orser's slip during his triple flip still affects everything from the perils of the queer community to the current political climate in 2006. Highlights include neurotic "channeling" of both of Brians, pop culture musings, and as always, Burke promises to show lots of skin.
