WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
"Paris Hilton" (Kevin Shinick) stars in Doug Field's latest play, I Love Paris.
Veteran Broadway actor Kevin Shinick (absolutely NOT in drag) plays Paris Hilton in a one-man show which captures an intimate moment with the world renowned socialite as she prepares to audition for the fifth co-host seat of the ABC daytime television talk show, "The View". While she waits in the green room, Paris reminisces about her whirlwind life, the high points, the low points and all of the fascinating points in between. Baring it all like never before--her straight to video performance not withstanding--she takes on even the most controversial topics, including, "Why Terrorism?, Why Now?", "The real causes of World War II" and "Split Ends: The Environmental Impact". Timothy Haskell directs.

The producers of I Love Paris have chosen a tasteful postcard image for their show: a still frame from Paris Hilton's infamous sex tape. (Guess which one.) Doug Field's new Off-Broadway play about Ms. Hilton is almost as smutty, vulgar, exploitative, and pandering as the blue movie that propelled the starlet to fame and notoriety. (Oh, yes, she was also featured on the television series The Simple Life.) These are actually some of the show's best qualities! As guilty pleasures go, it's a doozy.
