Lidia Ramirez solo show, I Love America concerns refugees from the Dominican Republic and their dangerous journey across the sea to begin life anew in the U.S. The show is based on dozens of interviews Ramirez conducted in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, New York, and with the U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue Team. Elise Thoron directs.
