WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In I Hate Love, Kira and Lieutenant Cruz are getting married...or so they think. Love is in the air, hot shot pilots from Cruz's Navy squadron are coming, but not everyone is happy about the impending nuptials. And what exactly is going on between Bennett the best man and Kira's cousin Tom? Scornful exes, anonymous texting, secrets galore, and even an officer or two come out in this modern day, gender-bending interpolation of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.

RE:A mad romp!
I was very impressed with this show. At first, the thought of another remake of Shakespeare set me off a bit, but I was quickly won over. The cast is winning and lovely to watch, especially the leads playing Kira and Cruz, and Tom and Bennett.
That the director was able to weave fourteen players in the tiny theatrical space of the Dorothy Strelsin is a testament to his skills; well-done!
I loved the script. the writers did an excellent job incorporating bit of the original text and storyline without being slavishly devoted to it.
All that said, I would really have preferred to see it on a proper stage with real sets, but the cast ad director made the most of the black box that they could. Though surely some small set pieces could have been incorporated, even here.
All in all it was a lot of fun, and I hope to see it again.
