Created and choreographed by Julie Atlas Muz. Performed by Julie Atlas Muz, Luke Miller, James "Tigger" Ferguson, and Matthew Morgan; Directed by Kate Valentine.
In celebration of the November Full Moon hailed as the Beaver Moon, I Am the Moon and You are the Man on Me, created, choreographed and starring Julie Atlas Muz, is a radical extension of her critically acclaimed butoh burlesque number "I am the Moon." A mix of dance, visual art and absurdist comedy, Moon is a reflection of U.S. tendencies to commodify everything from a woman's body to outer space. Muz tells the story of Luna, an irredeemable woman, and her many slow and difficult love affairs. Disturbed by sinister omens, the hot-blooded Luna is dominated by The Suns, played by Luke Miller, James "Tigger" Ferguson, and Matthew Morgan. Muz returns to the stage to dance with ferocious tenderness that stirs the certainty of love and death in depths of one¹s soul.
There is no performance on Thanksgiving.
