CRS and Dharma Road present Artichoke Dance Company's 12th New York season, featuring the new evening length work I Am Nothing (without you): Rounds 1-6.

What is a performance without the audience? In I Am Nothing (without you), the audience becomes a focal point with the interdependence between the audience and the performers brought to the forefront. During the performance, audience members are presented decisions that result in the creation of a unique and individual performance experience. In this first incarnation of the work, subtitled "Rounds 1-6," each evening represents one round, each employing a different structure, highlighting the unpredictability of live performance.

Ms. Neuman's dances will be designed specifically for the various intimate spaces at CRS. The audience will be free to view the performances from multiple vantage points, including from the sidewalk outside. I Am Nothing (without you) is the continuation of a collaboration between choreographer Lynn Neuman and composer Bob Lukomski, who premiered Look At Me (when i talk to you) in July 2005 at the Joyce SoHo. This time Mr. Lukomski's music is being composed for individual listening devices, such as iPods or MP3 players. Upon making a reservation, a password will be provided enabling ticket buyers to download the program's music from www.boblukomski.net to their personal MP3 player. Preloaded players will also be available at the performance for audience members who do not bring their own.
