WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

HEARD (but not scene) is an evening of two one-acts by Marc Chun. Steven Gridley directs.

Match: Seemingly glued to their seats, five characters tell five separate stories at the same time without ever interacting with each other. Initially, they simply appear to be everyday people telling their personal stories, but then discover how their lives unexpectedly intersect; the events that unfold force them to see how randomness and chance affect even the most mundane aspects of their lives.

Beep: A man returns from a business trip to find his answering machine full of messages. Never uttering a word himself, but viscerally reacting to the numerous messages people left him, he must listen to how the lives of the people around him are affected by what they say (and don't say) to one another after it has already happened.

There is a special Wednesday performance September 4th at 8pm.
