The Arclight Theater will host The Entertainment Agora's presentation of a readings of David Gaard's new comedy Happy New Year, Lady Lou!. The readings will benefit Sylvia's Place (MCCNY's Homeless Youth Services), the shelter for LGBT and questioning homeless teenagers.

New York club scene legend, the outrageous drag king Lou, has for twenty years kept hidden a secret in her past. As the holiday season approaches, that secret, now a twenty year old son will be arriving in New York to spend the holidays with his mother who he believes to be a Park Avenue social doyen. Overcome by panic and despair that she will be caught by her son in her deception, Lou's fellow desperadoes, drag queens, divas trannies and derelicts come to her rescue, reinventing and redefining the word family, and creating the kind of bonded unit that is only possible in the twentieth century.
