Good Egg is a funny and surprising play about bioethics, siblings, and the limits of unconditional love. Good Egg is the story of responsible Meg, who has always been the caretaker for her bipolar younger brother, Matt. When she decides to get pregnant through artificial insemination, she contemplates having her embryos screened for bipolar disorder; this ignites a debate with her brother about bioethics and what it means to self-select "normal" traits. Does Meg take the idea of "being responsible" too far?
