WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Glamour, the first play in John O'Keefe's trilogy about the war years, takes place in 1939 as struggling poet Schuyler Jackson invites British poet Robert Graves and his long-time lover Laura Riding (an American poet) to visit him at the New England farm where Schuyler lives with his wife Kit. While the charismatic dictators of Europe roll across the Continent, shattering nations in their wake, Riding uses the art of language as her weapon and toys with the fragile Jacksons until Shuyler is her lover and Kit loses touch with reality. Katherine Owens directs.
