From the Motown to the Boogie Down:The Soundtrack of a Black Family is a theatrical and fictional story based on the life and times of The Masterson Family of Philadelphia. Through forty years and three generations experience their personal journey set to the dramatic backdrop of dance and music. The Mastersons, a diverse family like your own or one you know of, have triumphed and experienced the challenges of life. Experience the Mastersons through dance, song, and your favorite music from Motown, Disco, Rhythm & Blues, and Hip Hop. The show sold out twice at the Freedom Theatre in Philadelphia.
