Five Women Wearing The Same Dress by Alan Ball (best known for his screenplay of American Beauty) is a witty treatment of women in the modern age. Frances, Meredith, Trisha, Georgeanne, and Mindy are all bridesmaids hiding from the mother of all Southern weddings. First of all, none of them wants to be there. Second of all, none of them wants to be wearing those dresses! But that, of course, is really the least of their problems.
