WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Two plays by one of India's most celebrated playwrights will be presented under the auspcies of the Indo-American Arts Council in the first-ever Festival of Indian Theater.
July 14 - 26:
Mahesh Dattani's Dance Like a Man illustrates the conflict between the artist and society in India today, as well as the conflict between generations. Directed by Lillette Dubey.
July 30 - August 2:
Dattani's On a Muggy Night in Mumbai is a tragicomedy that finds its characters grappling both privately and publicly with issues of love, sexual identity, family honor, and societal obligations.
