WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Four one-acts that combine to explore the familial ties that bind. In "The Audition" by Paul DeSena a mother and a son wait for the man of the house to come home which ultimately leads to the paralysis of both. Megan Lohne's "Oh, Momma" explores the ramifications of the secrets that we keep. In "Upstairs" Margaret McCloskey tells the story of a crises that causes a clash between a mother and daughter. And, in Janine Nabers' "How the Nabers Family Found their Soulfulness, only to lose it again..." a disconnected rich black family comes to terms with their "inner church negro" as their Thanksgiving dinner spans several decades and their Baptist roots are revisited.
