WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Manhattan, 1986: Before New York was Disneyland, it was dangerous. Joey Ramone was fighting the system at CBGB's. Cocaine ran like water. Andrew Lloyd Webber was the emperor of Broadway. And Times Square was a playground for hookers, rentboys, and the pimps that fed them. In a story of loss, friendship, and unrequited love, Fag Hags is an original musical comedy about three gay men and their very significant non-romantic others. Following them from Labor Day to 4th of July the next year, this new musical walks the fine lines between love and hate, friend and enemy, laughter and tears.
