From behind the closed doors of forbidden gay-Hollywood romance in the 1950s to years of conversion therapy and his shocking marriage and subsequent family in the 1970s, award-winning actor, Anthony Perkins always kept the world guessing. His life gets a retelling in a solo performance, Fade Out or, The Imperfections of a Man.
Though his private life and desire for a conventional public image were at constant odds, Perkins was finally able to come to grips with his haunting alter-ego, the shy sinister Norman Bates: a character he immortalized in the classic Hitchcock thriller, Psycho.
