WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Face is a lyrical rendition about a girl who survived two wars. Kum Ju, now in her 80's, is still fighting to get an official apology from the Japanese government. Based on the book of testimonies of comfort women, the play is also a theatrical exploration about reclaiming memory. First presented at 6th soloNOVA Arts Festival in May, it has been further developed and is coming back to Autumn Artist Lodge at HERE.
