In a society taught to be automatons to a higher power, how far will individuals go to liberate themselves? Set in the near future in a small town in Kansas, 80% of America's population now lives on 20% of its land. Famine is constant, child labor is legal, and religion is now law. Welcome to "Paradise". In this dystopian vision of America, everything has stemmed from a familiar entity- gentrification. The story focuses on a young group of friends who begin to question the oppressive confines of their environment, and we follow their trials of discovery, their resistance, and regret.
