WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Who knew? In the Middle Ages, animals were arrested, provided with defense attorneys, and prosecuted in courts of law for theft, murder, bestiality and diverse crimes against humanity. This multimedia drama, based on actual court cases, centers on the trial of a 'homicidal sow' for the murder of an infant. In the play, the animals serve as metaphors for human beings who are viewed - like the beasts in the medieval world - as lesser creatures, with a legendary cohort that includes religious heretics, women, witches, Jews, Blacks, Muslims, homosexuals, even actors!
