WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Featuring works by Anthony Minghella, Amy Fox, Lisa Ebersole and Michael Weller, Estimated Time of Arrival explores the whimsical and difficult nature of relationships for twenty- and thirty-somethings living in the city.

Originally a BBC radio performance, Hang Up (Minghella) focuses on long-distance relationships and won the Prix Italia in 1988. Two of Fox's pieces are receiving their world premieres: Hatshop tells the story of two strangers who meet in a coffee shop and take their game one step too far, while Double Click looks at JDate and the internet dating scene. Weller's Split: Part One is a drama about the accumulative effects that small details in behavior, speech, and outside relationships can have on a long term relationship. Finally, Lisa Ebersole's quirky comedy Me Thinks lets the sparks fly as Ex-es run into each other at a reunion.

Estimated Time of Arrival stars Ethan James Duff (most recently in the feature Get Rich or Die Tryin'), Reese Madigan (seen on Broadway in Abe Lincoln in Illinois and at the Public Theater in Richard III, Henry IV parts 1 & 2 and Richard II), Jamie Proctor (a recent NYU grad with numerous Law and Order appearances), and Sarah Megan Thomas (David Auburn's feature Girl in the Park). Drew DeCorleto directs.

The short works by Amy Fox, Lisa Ebersole, Anthony Minghella, and Michael Weller deal with romance, marriage, and break-ups amongst 20- and 30-something white heterosexuals. As with any program of shorts penned by different writers, some are better than others. But they're all deftly directed by Drew DeCorleto and nicely acted by Ethan James Duff, Reese Madigan, Jamie Proctor, and Sarah Megan Thomas.

The most accomplished segment is Weller's "Split Part One," originally written in 1980 and see[...]
