WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Escape From Pterodactyl Island, a sci-fi musical adventure lampooning the works of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells, makes its U.S. Premiere at FringeNYC 2003. The musical is the tongue-in-cheek tale of Professor Robert Worthington, who, while on a scientific expedition in 1890, is shipwrecked on a mysterious island populated by sexy cavewomen and carnivorous dinosaurs. The island is also inhabited by the evil Dr. Devo (played by Tony Award nominee Tony Jerone) whose experiments threaten to destroy the human race. Book and lyrics are by Peter Morris, with music by Michael Jeffrey. The Phillip George directs, with choreography by Mark Santoro, and musical direction by David Caldwell. Produced by Steven Yuhasz and Marie Reynolds. Schedule Sunday, August 10th at 2:30pm Tuesday, August 19 at 7:15pm Wednesday, August 20th at 6:15pm Friday, August 22nd at 6:15pm Saturday, August 23rd at 12 noon
