Two friends are thrown into a war, but on opposite sides. A journalist finds that language fails her when confronted with the stark life of a small fishing village. Two Korean businessmen take a coffee break only to be revisited by the echoes of a violent past. Three one-act plays explore the ambiguous ways in which we try to avoid the rain. Ma-Yi Theatre Company presents The Asian American Directors' Initiative premiere production of Drizzle and Other Stories, based on stories by Hwang Sun Won. Andrew Eisenman directs.
