La MaMa E.T.C. presents playwright/director Charles Allcroft's essay on love and death, Dreamboats and Sleepyheads: Lullaby of the Lost. A chance meeting of two drab insomniacs opens a gateway to the mythological creators of dreams, sleeplessness, harmony and the night. As a host of bizarre spirits battle over the dreams of two sleeping insomniacs, a celestial drama is played out around the Queen of the Night, who has created the world to find the ideal companion. In the end she marries the Moon and Pythagoras finding solace in enabling others to hear the music of the spheres.
