Matthew Wells? psychological drama Donna Paradise explores the mind-games lovers play, not just with each other but with themselves. In the play, a young married couple seem to be in a perfect union, but both husband and wife -- a woman who is consistently propositioned by every man at a bar in less than two minutes -- imagine each other watching over everything they say and do when they are apart to keep their desires in check. This fragile arrangement begins to break down as each learns how the other half plays and works and she begins to suspect him of infidelity. As the illusion of a perfect love fades and the couple learns what their relationship is based on, they must confront the truth of who they are as opposed to who they think they are and test the limits of their trust.
