WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Dixon Place will present the following events in its December Dance Series:Wednesday December 6th at 7:30pm 7 People, 7 MinutesFreeSign up at 7:00 pm and perform for 7 minutes. Test out new ideas; theater, dance, music-whatever! Open performance begins at 7:30 pm.Friday December 8th and Saturday December 9th at 8:00 pmBrinkCurated by Michael HellandFeaturing Asubtout and Lynn Neuman$12.00, $10.00 Stu/Sen, TDFAsubtout is a two-lady performance ensemble consisting of Katy Pyle and Eleanor Hullihan. Asubtout has performed at Galapagos, P.S. 122, and Movement Research. Lynn Neuman is the artistic director of Artichoke Dance Company. Her choreography has been presented at Danspace Project, Joyce Soho, and the Merce Cunningham Studio among others. Saturday December 16th at 8:00 pmJody Oberfelder$15.00, $10.00 Stu/SenJody Oberfelder will be previewing selections from a new work in progress, The Title Comes Last and a new solo. She has performed at the Flea Theater, Joyce SoHo, and P.S. 122. Tuesday December 19th at 8:00 pmCrossing BoundariesCurated by Marcia MonroeFeaturing Marija Krtolica, Sally Hess, The Roosters, Moeno Wakamatsu and Amos PinhasiMarija Krtolica, originally from Beograd former Yugoslavia, has performed her work in NYC, Boulder, Denver and Massachusetts. She has danced for Ariane Anthony, Maureen Fleming, and Nancy Zendora. Sally Hess has appeared in the companies of Lucas Hoving, Dan Wagoner, and Remy Charlip. Since 1981 she has presented her solos Dancetales.Recitsdanses. The Roosters have performed in Dance Theater Workshops Fresh Tracks series, BAX, DanceNOW and Dance New Amsterdam. Moeono Wakamatsu established herself as an architect in New York City, then gradually turned to dance theatre. Her solo performances have been seen internationally. Amos Pinhasi, an Israeli choreographer, has presented her choreography since 1985 and has been produced at DTW, The 40Up project, Joyce Soho and the Tamar Jerusalem Dance Company.
