WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

With a dazzling original voice, Dennis Bush creates three worlds where possibilities to connect may get lost in a moment of misunderstanding. In Fetal Pig, desire is dissected when a young woman confronts her abuser and her own self-esteem. Below the Belt brings dysfunctional relationships into direct battle where the stakes are life and death. Asylum reveals the despair when delusion reaches a dead-end. These are ensemble pieces where the connections are often surprising and the disconnections heartbreaking. Bush's characters are stunningly original, his dialogue compelling. Humor and heartbreak spin wildly surprising stories. His previous collaboration with Shane won Best Ensemble in New York's 2007 Wonderland Festival.

Enjoyed the plays and the Q&A
I stayed for the Q&A after the show and it was great to have that chance to hear from the writer and actors. The plays are challenging. They made me think and some of what I thought about myself and the way I deal with soem of the people in my life was difficult to think about. The actors said they want to connect with audiences and make them think. They did that with me. The plays are in your face and thats not for everybody but Im glad I went and glad I stayed for the Q&A and think the actors, director and writer should be commended for doing plays that make people look at themselves and each other in different ways.

Unsuccessful
Actors were fine, direction was unmemorable, and the plays themselves were unlikeable.
