WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Composer and performer Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR) seamlessly blends classical music with modern musical genres such as funk, rock, hip-hop, and electronica. Performing with his ensemble DBR & The Mission, Roumain presents two evenings of compositions for string quartet and laptop as well as electric and acoustic pieces for solo violin, including Hip-Hop Studies and Etudes, Event Pieces, Beat Pieces, and a reprisal of Voodoo Violin Concerto No. 1.
