WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Weston family, an alcoholic father, a disconnected and uninvolved mother, a daughter precocious beyond her years and a deranged idealist of a son are the benighted innocents pursuing a dream that remains beyond their reach. This is a major award winning work by Sam Shepard that focuses on the havoc wrecked by the economic greed of bankers, mortgage lenders and land grabbers on a dysfunctional family living near poverty on a small farm in Southern California.
