WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

SLANT Theatre Project's CouchWorks is an evening of new works by Rachel Axler (writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart), Evan Cabnet, Marcus Gardley (dance of the holy ghosts: a play on memory), Adam Knight, Adam Rapp (Finer Noble Gases, Nocturne), Theresa Rebeck (Spike Heels, Bad Dates), and Mat Smart (The Hopper Collection). All of the plays were written specifically for this event and specifically for one couch.

Works include:

Museum Piece, by Rachel Axler, directed by Daniel Goldstein

Pride and Prejudice, written & directed by Evan Cabnet

rhapsody 3, or my brother's keeper Exposium, by Adam Knight, directed by Ellen Beckerman

Members Only, by Adam Rapp, directed by Meredith McDonough

Aftermath, by Theresa Rebeck, directed by Josh Hecht

Music for a High Ceiling, by Mat Smart, directed by Steve Cosson
