Barcelona's Compañía Metros's Carmen re-tells the story of the sexy, brazen gypsy, Carmen, through the elegance of contemporary dance mixed with the passion and energy of flamenco.

The classic story of love, lust, seduction and betrayal has been condensed to a single act and unfolds on a roof-top in modern-day Spain. One of Spain's most versatile and internationally renowned choreographers, Ramón Oller blends the score of Bizet's famous opera with the brash and eclectic sounds of the contemporary Spanish composer Martirio.

The tension and desire between Carmen and her two suitors rises until the tragic climax, when the emotions spill out over the stage.

Contains partial nudity.
