WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Harold Clurman is known as "The Elder Statesman of American Theater," and this one-man play is written, directed, and played by Ronald Rand, a former student of Clurman's who resurrects the famous theatrical jack-of-all-trades and revered critic and teacher for one last lesson on passion. Clurman the Play examines Harold's rise from the Lower East Side of Manhattan, to his education in Paris, his initiation into theater at the Provincetown Playhouse, and his founding of the Group Theater with friend Lee Strasberg (father -in-law of Mirror Rep's Artistic Director) and future wife Stella. Ronald Rand, seasoned actor, playwright, and founder and editor of the theatrical paper Soul of the American Actor, brings the love for theater that Clurman embodied to the stage. Presented by Mirror Repertory Company. Performance Schedule: April 24 @ 7pm; April 30 @ 2pm; May 4, 14, 18, 21 @ 2pm; May 8, 15 @ 7pm; May 10 @ 8pm
