WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Circus Contraption, Seattle's own One-ring Circus and pre-eminent Amusement Institution, announces the imminent arrival of its Grand American Traveling Dime Museum! For a modest admission you will be privy to a vast collection of exhibits guaranteed to educate and entertain. Featuring miracles of man and of nature, curiosities of the past and marvels of the modern age, a veritable confectionery of exquisite novelties awaits the genteel visitor: A captivating carousel of fanciful fauna formations! Audaciously effervescent (and smartly dressed) dancing girls! Animated manikins of undisciplined and disorderly demeanor! Masterly displays of extraordinary aerialism! Equilibrism executed with startling accuracy of judgment! And as always, outlandishly original musical arrangements of the first quality, performed by the unparalleled circus contraption orchestra! These are but a few of the Wonders presented live and on stage! Designed to stimulate all aspects of the human organism, the museum offers a unique experience for every constitution. No one who enters remains unchanged! This full-circus show, featuring live aerial acts, acrobatics, juggling, dance, physical comedy and live original circus music, was a smash hit in Seattle and San Francisco. Circus Contraption was recently featured in a chapter of a nationally distributed book on underground circus in America, Freaks and Fire, by J. Dee Hill (Soft Skull Press). Circus Contraption has developed a growing cult following on the West Coast, and has made successful tours of the West and Midwest. This is their first appearance in New York City. All shows contain MATURE CONTENT and may be unsuitable for children 12 and under. Parental discretion is advised. Opening weekend shows (Sept. 1-4) and all Wednesdays are Pay-what-you-can! Box Office Hours: 1 hour before show time
