WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Isabela is stowed away in the attic of her home waiting to be found in a never ending game of hide and seek. Hours pass as she guides us
through the Hernandez's family history; Cuban exiles whose convictions include Fidel assassination plots supported by the Roman Catholic Church, and cheating the utility, telephone, water and sewage companies
of their monthly payments. "This town would be nothing but fish tackle and gas pumps had it not been for the Cubans!"

Torn between the traditions, ethics and third world food choices of her parents' homeland and the American world of Big Macs and Cadillacs,
Isabela quickly adapts by becoming both a physical and emotional chameleon. She leads us through the imaginary world she has created in
order to survive, while protecting the one truth she has managed to stay one step ahead of. Until today.
