WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
It's back-to-school time! This former children's play turned snuff-show is a slick, darkly comic satire on the current state of the American public school system. When chin-up Chauncey Lindsley Chitenton Hossenfeffer Shortbread III crosses the Atlantic and arrives at his first day of 6th grade, this naïve schoolboy soon realizes that the three R's at Shady Sunshine Middle school are rioting, raping, and Ritalin. David Bell's Chauncey's First Day of School features adult content, situations, and language.
