WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The story of La Celestina portrays the star-crossed lovers theme immortalized 100 years later by William Shakespeare?s Romeo and Juliet. The story focuses on Celestina, an old matchmaker who is hired by Calisto to make Melibea fall in love with him. Poignant and witty, the play explores love, friendship, families and death.
