Friday, February 8th 10 pm Women of Color "Self Portrait" featuring Traeauna Harris and "Spoken Word Show" led by Bryonn Bain Free admission Saturday, February 9th 10:00pm Poem dedicated to Sekou Sekou Sundiata performed by Aisha Jordan & Frantz Jerom and A performance by Kanene Holder Satirist Kanene, writer and performer of solo-show SITCHAASSDOWN deemed "21 perfect-pitch snapshots of the black experience by a strong character actor.", by Ellen Carpenter of New York Magazine performs Commiting That Black on Black Crime Called Blackface (C.T.B.O.B.C.C.B.), an interactive pantomime creating a surreal cross between Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man and Pee Wee Herman's Playhouse/"Alice in Negroland". Watch C.T.B.O.B.C.C.B. as Kanene/Buckwheat/Farina navigate the playpen which warps from "I Had a Dream" into a NEGRO NIGHTMARE.............. C.T.B.O.B.C.C.B. is made possible in part by The Future of the Present Program of Franklin Furnace, supported by the New York State Council on the Arts and Jerome Foundation, Urban Artist Initiative funded by the New York Foundation for the Arts, generous donations from the Materials for the Arts and a space grant from Chashama. Sunday, February 10th 5:30pm Stage reading of "Bare Foot on a Cold Floor" Written by Kathryn Rickson Featuring Valois Mickens and Bryonn Bain Admission is free
