Inside Broadway presents its production of Bye Bye Birdie created specifically for families and children. Though it originally premiered in 1960, Broadway's classic musical comedy still speaks to and entertains young people today. Rock-n-roll super star and teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie prepares to join the service. Before he goes off to fight for his country, his agent stages the publicity stunt of the year, one lucky fan will win a good-bye kiss from Birdie on the nationally televised Ed Sullivan show. The lucky winner is all American-girl Kim McAfee, whose sudden fame creates chaos in her small town and in her life.
