WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Jane Bussmann suspected interviewing celebrities made her more of a gnat than a "useful person," so she fled to Uganda, hoping to land an interview (or marriage proposal) from a charismatic American peacemaker. She met Joseph Kony's Lord's Resistance Army instead. Hilarious and politically incorrect, Bussmann won raves at the Edinburgh Fringe, London's Soho Theatre, and as an invited guest of the Houses of Parliament, with Members of Parliament calling for the UK government to debate its subject matter. Considered a gonzo classic by foreign correspondents and critics alike, the show led to the book The Worst Date Ever or How it Took a Comedy Writer to Expose Africa's Secret War, which received five-star reviews.
