WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
An American professor in China navigates comic culture collisions trying to get his students to express themselves openly and discovers the danger in their secret longings when he's drawn with them into the tragedy of Tiananmen Square.
Directed by 5-time Academy Award nominated cinematographer Caleb Deschanel and featuring rarely-seen footage of
1989 urban China shot by Deschanel himself.
