WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Burlesque Exposes Bush; or, How Dubya Got Kerry'd Away is a throwback to the days of early American burlesque. Fishnets and high heels combine with political satire, while outlandish song parodies share the stage with bawdy dance numbers. In this gender-bending musical comedy, God commands George Bush to build an ark that will save all the righteous right-wing Americans, while the sinful liberal riff-raff are doomed to drown in a flood. But Bush's plans are jeopardized when Senator John Kerry and his supporters sneak onto the ark.
The production features a rapping Ralph Nader, Rosie O'Donnell, dancing Republicans, a lovesick Condaleezza Rice, and some irreverent Founding Fathers.
