BRINK, curated by Michael Helland, features performances of Yes, the answer is yes Carla! by Nancy Forshaw-Clapp and Starve by Laura Berlin Stinger.

In Yes, the answer is yes Carla!,
Nancy Forshaw-Clapp goes to American Apparel in search of a hot pink bikini, but after standing in line FOREVER she was told she could not return the bathing suit. She settled for her speedo.

In Starve, "these things" are like a tornado around her, and Laura Berlin Stinger is the crystallization of one person living in the middle of them. These things are blitzkrieg, Joan Crawford, freedom & biology, canned food and fasting to death for your life.

Laura Berlin Stinger was most recently seen in Theatre Mitu's reading of 4 Saints in/Mexico at New York Theatre Workshop, in the premiere of
Jennie MaryTai Liu's Learning in Lower Animals:A Biology Sonata at Dance Theatre Workshop, and as Dolly Parton at Galapagos Burlesque with famed Miss Saturn. She has performed with Witness Relocation Theatre Company in New York and Bangkok for the past four years. She creates her own work and performs it at venues around the city such as
Galapagos, the Sidewalk, and the Gershwin Hotel. She founded and runs Epehemeroptera, an art space offering cheap rehearsal rental and programs dedicated to the queer and transgendered community.

Nancy Forshaw-Clapp grew up in North Carolina. She studied dance at the North Carolina School of the Arts and Hollins University. She spent various
summers studying at the Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and the American Dance Festival. She now lives in New York, teaches pilates and is currently dancing with Isabel Lewis and Erika Hand. She sometimes works with AnnLiv Young.
