WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

After presenting Brickworks at P.S.122 and New York Comedy Club, Slant Theatre Project remounts its evening of original poems, plays, and debates at the Cherry Lane Studio. The original cast is returning, including Kelli Giddish, Kathleen White, Jeff Galfer, and Garrett Neergaard. As before, the stage will be transformed into a cabaret space. Playwright Adam Rapp calls Brickworks "one of the most entertaining and surprisingly moving evenings of theatre I've seen in a long time." PARTICIPANTS Stab Me, Why Don't You? by Adam Knight: Four monologues about outsourcing, terrorism, frogs, and the tenth commandment dropsy by Kelli Giddish: A young woman atop a water tower relives in lucid detail a crisis of love. The Debate Over Courtney O'Connell of Columbus, Nebraska by Mat Smart: Two men engage in a bar room debate to win the heart of the woman they love.
