Every one hundred years, in a sheltered fishing village, a circus emerges from the sea, awakening the dreams and desires of the townspeople and inflicting havoc on their entrenched rules. Chelsea Bacon writes, directs, and choreographs Breaker: An Aerial Opera. The performance creates an intimate magical world in which children, fishermen, barnacle-covered creatures, and an ancient woman dance above the ground on suspended rocking chairs, window-frames, ropes, and buckets, singing songs and cavorting with puppets.
